Important Information
The siting of a memorial tree or bench on Council owned land will be subject to availability, and will only be confirmed following consultation with a Council Officer. If your preferred location is unavailable we will attempt to work with you to find an alternative, however we cannot guarantee that a suitable site will be available for your request.
If you wish for a memorial plaque to be installed in the Garden of Remembrance then the Council will source and install this for you. A fee will be charged for this service, which will vary depending on whether you are / the deceased were a Woodley resident or not.
If you wish for a memorial bench to be installed then the Council will source and install this for you, however you will be liable for the cost. The cost covers purchase, delivery, installation and ongoing maintenance of the bench. If you wish for a plaque to be installed on the bench then you must source and purchase this yourself, however the Council will install this free of charge for you.
If you wish to plant a memorial tree then the Council will source and plant this for you, however you will be liable for the cost. The cost will vary depending on type of tree and any associated equipment required, such as a tree guard. A service fee will also be charged to cover the planting, staking, composting, fertilising and irrigation of memorial trees. If you wish for a plaque to be installed by the tree then you must source and purchase this yourself, however the Council will install this free of charge for you.
