Armistice Day 11th November

We will be hosting our annual Armistice Day ceremony at the War Memorial, Woodford Park, Headley Road on Friday 11th November, 11am.

Everyone is welcome to attend. Please arrive by 10.45am.

If you would like to lay a wreath during the ceremony, please email Matthew Filmore by 7th November.

Please note that wreaths should be ordered before the end of the third week in October to ensure delivery before Armistice Day.

Remembrance Sunday community event

A separate, non-Council event is being held by local residents at the War Memorial on Sunday 13th November:

Woodley Memorial Remembrance 2022 is also running a poetry competition and a poppy quiz in Woodley Town Centre from November for children of all ages to join in with. Please contact Woodley Town Centre manager, Brian Fennelly, for more information: tcm@woodley.gov.uk.
