Woodley Town Council is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone, and applying the relevant accessibility standards.
Assessment Approach
Woodley Town Council has assessed the accessibility of this website by self-evaluation, using the Siteimprove accesibility checker extension.
Conformance status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA and Level AAA.
The Woodley Town Council Website is currently partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard. The areas that do not currently conform are:
- Site menu in page headers – a known issue with the Elementor web development tool means the site menu contains non-unique element IDs.
- Certain PDFs may not be fully accessible
We are working on these areas to improve compliance with the standard. If you require any documents in an alternative format please contact us.
