Local Woodley schools’ Remembrance

Woodley schools gather to remember

Woodley schools will be gathering at the Woodley Memorial Recreation Ground on Headley Road on Friday 9th November for a Remembrance event and to acknowledge 100 years since the end of WWI.

Joined by Woodley Town Mayor Sam Rahmouni and Deputy Town Mayor David Stares, the children will gather at 10.45 and mark the event with a minutes silence at 11.00, followed by laying of wreaths on the war memorial.

Waingels College

Willow Bank Junior School

Woodley C of E Primary

The Exhortation will be read by a student from Waingels College, while the Dedication will be read by a student from Rivermead Primary School. A bugler will also be in attendance to play the Last Post and Reveille.
