According to a 2021 Guardian news item, rising greenhouse gas emissions from waste incineration and stagnating recycling rates might prevent the UK hitting its net zero target by 2050.
Where possible, it is both financially and environmentally beneficial to reduce the amount of waste we create. But what do you do with those items you are left with that you still need to throw away?
