Youth Services
Woodley Town Council is committed to providing and enabling services and activities for young people in Woodley.
It works in partnership with the District Council and other providers of youth activities in Woodley on the Area Youth Committee. This group aims to jointly provide services to meet the needs of young people of Woodley.
The Council also funds an outreach youth worker and the Just Around the Corner (JAC) youth bus to visit two nights a week in Woodley.
Volunteers from the charity work with young people to provide a listening ear when needed, to help young people to make positive choices and to deal with issues in their lives without harming themselves, others or property.

Other provision by the Council has included:
A youth shelter in Woodford Park in response to and following consultation with young people.
Basketball posts installed in the park and at Bulmershe Leisure Centre.
Funding towards the Youth Summer Scheme for the last three years, a drop-in facility during the summer holidays at Woodford Park.
Ad hoc activities, some of which have been initiated by young people themselves; for example a group of young people at Wheble Park worked with the Council to help smarten up the park for nearby youngsters.
