Citizens Awards 2010

The voluntary work of three local residents was recognised at the Councilıs
annual Citizens Awards ceremony in April. Town Mayor, Kay Gilder, hosted the
event to which the awards recipients, their guests and representatives from
local community groups and organisations were invited. Councillor Gilder
said she was delighted to be able to present the awards on behalf of the
Council and that she believed that our community was very fortunate to have
so many people who give their time freely to help others and provide
activities. This was one of the features of the town that made it such a
good place to live.
